Gingerbread Houses

Every year we go out to my parents house and make gingerbread houses. They aren't real gingerbread though. They are wood cut outs that you can just wash up and re use next year. Anyways, so this is a picture of all of them. It goes Evan's, mine, Derek's, Dakota's and my mom's. They all turned out really cute! I made Evan's out of grahm crackers. It turned out way cute!! And Derek's......well, Derek has alot of fun making these as you can tell. He added a second story on his house :-)
Evan's cute little house, mommy and daddy's mansion!

Dakota and my mom!

And cute little Skylar! Isn't she adorable?? She didn't make one, but she sure ate enough candy, Probably as much as would go on a house!! Gotta love her!

And my favorite little boy!! This is his first year making houses and he is just so proud of his house!! At first when we put frosting on, and had him grab some candy, he asked "what do I do?? Put these in my mouth??" Haha. After we explained that the candy goes on the house, he had alot of fun making this. It is still out to my mom's, and he keeps asking me why it isn't at our house. Poor little guy! :-)

Santa is coming to town!!

So every year, Rigby does a little Chrismas parade and Santa comes to town! So I decided to bundle up the kids and take them out to the parade. Evan loved the parade, and Skylar didn't. Sigh! It would be nice for them both to be on the same page! :-) Anyways, after the parade we went to see Santa. In this picture, Skylar is doing pretty good, but as soon as I try to put her on his lap with Evan, she freaked out! Evan on the other hand was super excited. This is the first year that he finally get's it. When Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he just said "I don't know." Then Santa started asking him what he likes to do, and he said he likes vroom vroom cars. So now anytime anyone asks him about Santa, he says "Santa is going to come to my house and bring me presents. He is going to bring me a vroom vroom car!" Too cute!! Good thing he is getting some cars!

Halloween

Here are a couple of pictures of my adorable kiddo's!! Incase you can't tell, Evan is a pirate, and Skylar is a tulip fairy. Of course I had to put long pants and shirt on them though, which isn't fun. We went to our ward Halloween party and the kids had a blast. They had a costume contest, and Evan won for the 3-4 year olds. He was sooo excited! That night when we came home and got ready for bed and were saying our prayers, after every sentence, he would say"and eat lots of candy." Derek and I made the mistake of laughing the first time. He didn't stop after that. He always puts a smile on my face! I am totally in love with my kids! Hope you all had a fun Halloween also!

Busy Busy

As some know, I have a business making wreaths and blankets. Well here is one wreath that I just got done making for my sister-in-law. She had some stuff come up and ended up in the hospital for a week and these are the flowers that people sent to her while she was there. I am way happy how this turned out!! I dried some flowers that I have never dried before and some of them didn't turn out good, but some of them turned out AWESOME!! I am way excited about this wreath and love it!!

I was looking at facebook one day and one of my friends had a website posted and I went and looked at it and it had these cookies on it. I thought they were adorable, so I had to try them out! They aren't perfect, but not too bad for my first time. I am definately going to be making more of these. Let me know if you want to know how to do these. (Incase you can't tell, they are spider webs with little spiders on them.)

And last but not least....Dakota's 14th Birthday! She loves loves soccer, so we decided to get her and us some Major League Soccer tickets for her birthday. She didn't have a clue we were going. We picked her up from school at lunch, drove to Utah, went out to eat at the Mayan, went to the soccer game, stayed the night, went to Cabella's the next morning, had lunch with my brother Brandon, and headed home. The game was alot of fun and we had really good seats. We were about half way between mid-field and the goal, and 5 rows up. She had a blast which made it all worth it. Quick trip though!!

Banana Bread and Blueberry Muffins

We had a good morning this morning!! We woke up and made blueberry muffins for Daddy for breakfast. Yummy!! Then we made some banana bread to take around to some friends. (Hope they turned out good, I didn't even try any of it before I gave it away!) Evan wanted to lick the beater, which at first I thought was kindof gross where it was bread, but then I thought, well what the heck. If it is gross he won't eat it. Suprise!! It was pretty yummy! Skylar has a doughy dirty face and then add muffin crumbs to it. Too cute!! Like her forehead?? Haha! Poor girl!

My "big" little girl!!

So this first picture is of one of Skylar's owies. (It is on her top left of her forehead.) Recently she thinks she is a big girl. Miss independant!! She likes to feed herself and doesn't like to sit in her high chair anymore. Which is ok. Well, the other night she was sitting at the table (a tall table) and she fell off her chair. It took me a while to figure out why she had 2 lines going accross her forehead on her goose egg. Then it came to me!! It is the grout lines of our tiled floor!! I guess she basically fell flat on her forehead. I hate it when this happens!!! Makes you feel like a bad mom.....even though I know I couldn't do anything about it.

This picture is of another owie she got 3 days before the other one. I am not sure what happend with this one exactally. Her and Evan were playing on my treadmill and she must have fell and hit her eye. Poor girl!! She is only 19 months and she get's hurt alot more than Evan who is 3!! I think I have my hands full with this little girl!!!

Oops!!

So I forgot to post these pictures on my last post. But while we were camping, my aunt bought these different halloween decorations for the kids to make. Totally adorable!! So here are some pictures of us putting them together and some of my kiddo's finished products. Love them!!

Our most recent camping/hunting trip

These two pictures were of all the kids on Grandma and Grandpa Greats new toy. The kids were adorable!! And in next 3 are Evan and Skylar playing in the creek. At first they had clothes on. Then Evan wanted his shorts off, so Skylar did also. Then he wanted his shirt off so Skylar did also. He tried taking off his underwear, but didn't let him get that far. Lathered them up in sunscreen and let them play. They were in the water the majority of the time.

This was a loooong camping trip. 12 days. Yep you saw right 12 days!! Derek took a week off of work (which is 4 days) then add his 2 weekends in it which are 4 days each, add them together and you get 12 days!! I made a deal with Derek, I would not complain about his humting this fall if he would finish remodeling our basement. So no complaining here. I am not sure I am up for anymore camping this year though. So I think our Salmon Steelhead fishing trip is out. Which is a highlight of my year. But oh well.....I am ready to stay home for a while!!

Time flies when you are having fun!

So I don't have alot of fun stuff to blog about. No vacations, no parties.....all we have been doing all summer is camping. Which is a blast. Here are a couple of cute pictures. These two are of Skylar. Dirty like always. But adorable none the less.

So Grandma and Grandpa B bought this new blind to use for hunting. The kids loved it. It was like this new fort that had windows and a door to look out of. They were hilarious!

And this one is of a different camping trip, but this is the only picture I took that weekend. Wierd. But this is a cute one. Evan's face is all chocolaty. Yummy!

Evan's Birthday Party. (3rd)

So my little boy turned 3 this month. :( Makes me sad. Oh well. Anyways, he wanted a Mickey Mouse theme. I had to go buy some toys to put on his cake, and I think it turned out really good. We had some friends come over and play in the pools and slip n slide and had pizza and cake and ice cream. It turned out really good. Thanks to all that showed up.

Derek's Suprise BBQ B-Day Party!

So it is Derek's birthday today!! Happy Birthday babe!! Well he is working today, so I decided to do a suprise party for him. I looked in his phone and found all of his friends phone numbers and was in contact with them all week while he didn't know.... Alot of fun!! I planned a BBQ tuesday night and invited all our friends and immediate family members. Derek's mom and dad got him out of the house for me so I could set things up. With the help of my mom, we got it all done. He was sooo suprised when he came home and saw all of his friends' vehicles infront of our house. All in all I think we had about 25-30 people plus kids who were all in swim suits playing in the swimming pools. As for his birthday present... I just bought him a riding outfit for his dirt bike. He looks pretty good in it!! :) It was a good night. Thanks to all who helped me in planning this suprise and to all our friends who made it over. We both appreciate it all!! Love you babe!! Happy Birthday!

Random pics

So this is the last post today! I promise! Here are just a couple of cute pictures of my kids! Gotta show em off. I finally got skylar's hair into a pony tail. She looked ADORABLE I think! :) She is just growing up too fast. Another picture is both her and Evan sitting in their wagons in the kitchen reading books. It was rather quiet which usually means they are into something they shouldn't be, but this is what I found. I thought it was so cute. Anyways, sorry so many posts. I need to just keep up on it.

Hogal Zoo

A couple of weeks ago we took a quick day trip to Utah to see my cousin and her baby (which is in Primary Children's Hospital). We went to Hogal Zoo and met up with my brother Brandon. The zoo was alot of fun. Evan really liked it. He is into animals right now. Skylar could have cared less :) She liked the animals a little I guess. She would point to them and talk, but No idea what she was saying :) I asked Evan which animal was his favorite and he said "oh, just the turkey's" Out of all the animals.....just the turkey's! Funny kid. After that, we went and saw my cousin and visited with her then took her out to dinner. It was nice haning out with her and catching up. We had such a fun day and the kids were exhausted they slept the whole way home! That's always a plus!

Memorial Weekend

We went camping up to Medicine Lodge on Memorial Weekend. It was a blast. When we first got there though, there were HUNDREDS of cows in our camp site. I got a couple of cute pictures of the kids looking out the window at the cows. While Derek and I were trying to set up camp, we just left the kids in the camper to play. As I walked into the camper I saw Evan walking from my bedroom carrying a 22 rifle. Kindof freaked me out! I didn't know they were anywhere he could get to! Anyways, I asked him why he had the rifle and he told me that he was going to go shoot the cows. Totally funny! I had a hard time convincing him that we don't shoot cows. When I told him that he couldn't shoot a cow, he said ok mom, you do it. When I told him that I wasn't going to shoot a cow he said, Daddy will do it! He's a funny kid! That weekend had beautiful weather. Only rained a couple of times :) The kids had a blast and got FILTHY dirty. Especially Skylar. She is just walking, so she fell down alot. But what do you do?? Let them have their fun and give them a bath before bed time :)
