Skylar's 2nd Birthday!!!

Busy busy weekend! We went to Salmon for the weekend, got home Sunday at 4 and had Skylar's birthday party at 7. Which isn't so bad, but I had to make her cake for her. So if it doesn't look good.......that's why. I was in a hurry! Evan wasn't feeling too good on Sunday, so he is being kindof goofy in this picture. I wanted to do a Minnie Mouse theme, but it is hard to find anything birthday stuff that has minnie on it! Everything is Tinkerbell and Princess stuff. So I found these cheesy Mickey ears. They look kinda dorky, but oh well!

Here is a picture of her cake. It didn't quiet turn out like the cake in my head, but it worked. The pans I bought were pretty thick, so I assumed the cakes would be that thick. But they weren't. I guess I didn't put enough batter into them. So the layers were small, but overall I think it turned out pretty cute.

Skylar and Grandma before her party started!
Happy Birthday baby girl!!! She is at the point where she is putting sentences together. It is way cute to hear her talk. She thinks she is as big as her brother (which she almost is) but there is a big difference in ability to do stuff. She sure tries to do everything he does though. She loves to take off her clothes. Don't ask me why! She is always walking around with no pants on. Or she goes through her dresser and pulls out all her pants/shorts and tries to put them all on. I have had friends who have girls who are obsessed with clothes and shoes and necklas's and makeup, but I am suprised at how it is pretty much in little girl's DNA to like that stuff! She always is pulling my shoes out of the closet, putting on makeup when mommy does, she now has to pick out what she wears (funny but frustrating). She puts a smile on my face every day and she definantly is my little princess!!!

Winter Fun

So other than Christmas, we really haven't been doing much. And I don't want to post Christmas pictures in February!! :) But we sure have had fun in the snow! (Except for Skylar! She doesn't like getting all bundled up and going outside). One of our favorite spots to go sledding is out on my grandparents driveway. They live out on the Menan Butte's, so their driveway is a perfect sledding area. This picture is of Skylar and my grandparents. She didn't want to go sledding. Even though we tried once. She cried the whole way down! Here is my little man making snow angels. He LOVES playing outside in the snow!

My little princess!! Doesn't she look cute??

Here is Evan getting pulled back up the hill! He loves sledding!!

Our one attempt to get her sledding. She wasn't too happy with me!!

We hope everyone's winter is going good!! It's almost springtime!! YAY!

Gingerbread Houses

Every year we go out to my parents house and make gingerbread houses. They aren't real gingerbread though. They are wood cut outs that you can just wash up and re use next year. Anyways, so this is a picture of all of them. It goes Evan's, mine, Derek's, Dakota's and my mom's. They all turned out really cute! I made Evan's out of grahm crackers. It turned out way cute!! And Derek's......well, Derek has alot of fun making these as you can tell. He added a second story on his house :-)
Evan's cute little house, mommy and daddy's mansion!

Dakota and my mom!

And cute little Skylar! Isn't she adorable?? She didn't make one, but she sure ate enough candy, Probably as much as would go on a house!! Gotta love her!

And my favorite little boy!! This is his first year making houses and he is just so proud of his house!! At first when we put frosting on, and had him grab some candy, he asked "what do I do?? Put these in my mouth??" Haha. After we explained that the candy goes on the house, he had alot of fun making this. It is still out to my mom's, and he keeps asking me why it isn't at our house. Poor little guy! :-)

Santa is coming to town!!

So every year, Rigby does a little Chrismas parade and Santa comes to town! So I decided to bundle up the kids and take them out to the parade. Evan loved the parade, and Skylar didn't. Sigh! It would be nice for them both to be on the same page! :-) Anyways, after the parade we went to see Santa. In this picture, Skylar is doing pretty good, but as soon as I try to put her on his lap with Evan, she freaked out! Evan on the other hand was super excited. This is the first year that he finally get's it. When Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he just said "I don't know." Then Santa started asking him what he likes to do, and he said he likes vroom vroom cars. So now anytime anyone asks him about Santa, he says "Santa is going to come to my house and bring me presents. He is going to bring me a vroom vroom car!" Too cute!! Good thing he is getting some cars!

Halloween

Here are a couple of pictures of my adorable kiddo's!! Incase you can't tell, Evan is a pirate, and Skylar is a tulip fairy. Of course I had to put long pants and shirt on them though, which isn't fun. We went to our ward Halloween party and the kids had a blast. They had a costume contest, and Evan won for the 3-4 year olds. He was sooo excited! That night when we came home and got ready for bed and were saying our prayers, after every sentence, he would say"and eat lots of candy." Derek and I made the mistake of laughing the first time. He didn't stop after that. He always puts a smile on my face! I am totally in love with my kids! Hope you all had a fun Halloween also!

Busy Busy

As some know, I have a business making wreaths and blankets. Well here is one wreath that I just got done making for my sister-in-law. She had some stuff come up and ended up in the hospital for a week and these are the flowers that people sent to her while she was there. I am way happy how this turned out!! I dried some flowers that I have never dried before and some of them didn't turn out good, but some of them turned out AWESOME!! I am way excited about this wreath and love it!!

I was looking at facebook one day and one of my friends had a website posted and I went and looked at it and it had these cookies on it. I thought they were adorable, so I had to try them out! They aren't perfect, but not too bad for my first time. I am definately going to be making more of these. Let me know if you want to know how to do these. (Incase you can't tell, they are spider webs with little spiders on them.)

And last but not least....Dakota's 14th Birthday! She loves loves soccer, so we decided to get her and us some Major League Soccer tickets for her birthday. She didn't have a clue we were going. We picked her up from school at lunch, drove to Utah, went out to eat at the Mayan, went to the soccer game, stayed the night, went to Cabella's the next morning, had lunch with my brother Brandon, and headed home. The game was alot of fun and we had really good seats. We were about half way between mid-field and the goal, and 5 rows up. She had a blast which made it all worth it. Quick trip though!!
